NORMAN PARK, GA (WALB) - Five people charged in the Norman Park shooting were set to be sentenced next Tuesday, however that trial will most likely be postponed.
Seven teens were initially arrested and charged in the case.
Prosecutors agreed to drop the murder charge if the five would testify against the other two defendants in the trial.
"Part of the plea agreement notated in court says they're to testify truthfully in trial. We've not had the trial set yet so we've asked the court to continue the case until after the trial and the court has agreed to do so," said Chief Assistant District Attorney Brad Shealy.
They hope to have the trial for the murder sometime in June of this year.
