Cordele's water system is almost back to normal.
Debbie Wright who is the Director of Utilities in Cordele says a damaged valve and two main lines have been repaired.
Now only the high school, and two businesses on Frontage Road are on a boil water notice, which will be lifted tomorrow.
The rest of the city has its normal water.
Wright says would not say what happened, or what caused the problem in the first place, but said it wasn’t the city’s fault.
She says this affected approximately 75 residents on the southeast side of town along the Highway 90 well system. Mostly in the Highland Grange area.
Wright says if any residents has any questions, feel free to call the department at 229-273-2829. Anyone who has problems with their city water and might need it tested, can do that free.
They test only for ecoli and coliform. They do charge for well testing.
