LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Lee County Democratic Party leaders held a forum Tuesday night to inform the public on the judicial candidates running for office in their county.

Dozens of voters came to meet and listen to the Superior Court Judge and Probate Judge candidates.
Organizers say it's important to know who the candidates are and their responsibilities.

"Every vote does count,” said Tish Batten, Chairwoman for the Democratic Party of Lee County. “Some people can win by one vote and that's because you haven't gotten out to be educated to do your part so this is why we do this. Because we want every vote to count. Every vote does matter."

The non-partisan election for judges in Lee County will be May 24th.
Here are the list of candidates:

Probate Court Judge

-       Melanie Garren

-       Jeffrey Kirt

-       Miles O’Quinn

-       Gail Drake

Superior Court Judge

-     Kevin Kwashnak

-    Jimmie Brown

-    Lewis Lamb
