ASHBURN, GA (WALB) - An Ashburn mother is raising awareness about autism.
Angela Lundy is planning the city's first Autism Walk.
Her 14-year-old son, T'ion Murphy, was diagnosed with autism when he was 2.
Lundy says her son suffers from speech delays, aggression and other behavior problems.
Lundy says she usually travels to other autism walks but wanted to create one in South Georgia.
"My main goal is to help bring out the awareness to families that is dealing with it and hopefully it'll open up the doors for more parents to not be ashamed of dealing with autism," said Angela Lundy, Mother.
The walk will be April 30th starting at Ashburn City Hall to Tom Whisett Park from 11 to 2. You can participate by calling Angela Lundy at 256-3397 or send her an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
