ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Police Department is looking for a man who stole purses worth thousands of dollars. 

The incident happened Friday night at the Dillard's inside the Albany Mall.

A man stole purses valued more than a $1000.00. Police believe the man drove off in a white Impala.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police Department at 431-2100 or Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.

    The Lee County fire chief is issuing a warning tonight about how hot playground equipment can get during the summer. Chief David Forrester said some equipment can reach more than 150-degrees this time of the year.
