ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Alumni at one South Georgia High School are giving back to their community.
Monroe High School in Albany held their first Alumni Weekend.
Alumni from 1946 to 2015 participated in a pep rally and tailgate.
Proceeds from this weekend's event will benefit future school programs.
"We love it and Monroe has such a great history," said Chaka Cobb, Class of '94. "We just love the green and gold."
"We are just really having a good time with the barbecuing, the fellowship, and all of the fun, the games," said Shirley Hines Williams, Class of '67. "It's just been great, fantastic."
The alumni weekend will end with a Sunday morning worship service at the school at 11 a.m.
