ALBANY, GA (WALB) - People in Albany enjoyed music, dance, and artwork at one of Chehaw's most popular events.
The park's Native American Festival was full of excitement on Saturday.
Demonstrations featured Aztec dancers, exciting hoop dancers, horseback riders, and more.
"Chehaw people were lower Creek Indians at one time had three villages in Albany's area," said Ben Kirkland, Natural Resources Manager. "We have a very rich Native American culture in Southwest Georgia so we're just keeping the heritage of the area."
The festival continues Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.
