Christopher Moore was arrested in Lowndes County Thursday and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash With Death, in Daytona on April 3. This is a Felony charge, and no bond was given.
Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD) officers were summoned to the 100 block of Fairview to investigate a hit and run and run accident on April 3. Roger Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Based on the videos and witness statements, Homicide detectives believe the suspect vehicle is a dark colored van or SUV.
The suspect vehicle was identified as a green 2000 Dodge Caravan registered to Stanley Warren in Valdosta.
Warren, Travvon Rutledge, and Christopher Sauders were identified as witnesses to the homicide. All three cooperated with the investigation.
Moore, who was driving the van, told Rutledge and Sauders that “I’m about to go get them” and purposefully rammed Martin’s motorcycle.
Moore is expected to be extradited to Volusia County at a later date and additional charges are pending.
