ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Some lucky folks got an exclusive look at Theatre Albany's new production at Thursday night's dress rehearsal for Driving Miss Daisy.
It chronicles the long relationship of an older Jewish woman and her black driver in the segregated south.
The Artistic Director says they're producing the play with minimal props.
"We have chairs, we have tables and of course the car is made up of just a couple of chairs and a steering wheel to represent that," said Mark Costello, Artistic Director. "It focuses on the two characters most of all the relationship that builds between these two people who are from divergent backgrounds."
The play runs from Friday through next Sunday.Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for Senior citizens, and $10 for students.
Auditions for Theatre Albany's next production Grease will be held Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The production will start in June.
