SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -
The Worth County Rams faced Dougherty High for senior night, and the sophomore pitcher Hunter Goodwin pitched a perfect game.
Worth County won 15-0 through 3 innings due to the mercy rule, and Goodwin struck out every single batter he faced.
But the night wasn't about him. It was about sending off seniors like Cody Reddell, who has played all over the field in his four years as a ram.
"I've played 3rd, short stop, pitcher, and when I came in as a Freshman and Sophomore I went from left field, center field, right field," said Reddell. "I caught this year too, and I played 2nd. so I've played everywhere but first."
"He has brought a wealth of talent with his instinctual play at third base," said Worth County coach Will Smith. "His instinct on the bases, the knowledge of the game is hard to teach."
Reddell was one of six seniors on the Worth County roster.
