SASSER, GA (WALB) -

The owner of a Sasser store that was shut down two weeks ago, said that it is back open now.

The owner would not say why deputies padlocked Kountry Corner Store and Restaurant two weeks ago, but he said the business is now fully operational again.

It was being operated by a receiver after GBI agents raided it in October as part of a statewide illegal gambling sting.

The owner said that he reopened Wednesday afternoon.
