Gunshots startled neighbors in the 800 block of Rosedale Avenue about 1:00 this morning.  Albany Police say several shots were fired into a house, but the four people inside were no hurt.

Albany Police served a search warrant at this home in the 800 block of Rosedale Avenue late this morning, gathering evidence after shots were fired into it.

Neighbor Deborah Johnson said it was too close for comfort. "Right like it was right in my house.  There were four rapid shots, a slight pause, and two more."

Johnson Victoria Haynes have lived on this block for 20 years, and call themselves the Rosedale Watchdogs.  And they don't welcome violence on their street.

"Yes, we want to keep our neighborhood. And we want to keep it free, and we shouldn't have to leave our neighborhood.  Because we are invested here."

The Rosedale Watchdogs say they keep a close eye on comings and goings in their neighborhood, even joining to pray for their homes and friends. Today they reached out to city and county officials for help.

"I called the Mayor's office. Didn't get through.  I am Facebook friends with Kevin Sproul.  So I sent him a message," Haynes said.

The Watchdogs say they are happy to see the police taking action to keep their street safe. Albany Police continue to investigate the two shootings in the last 24 hours.

Police say 25 year Brennan Woods was shot at least four times on Homewood Court. He was treated and released from the hospital.
