COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) - Colquitt County deputies recovered a body near the Ochlocknee River Tuesday night.
The Colquitt county Sheriff's Office has confirmed that it was the body of 62-year-old Grady Rawls Godbee.
Somebody walking in the area just off Lower Meigs Road found the body in a wooded area that recently was underwater following heavy rain.
Investigators believe he was camping out in the woods, fell asleep, and accidentally drowned.
"On Friday, about 6 p.m. his friend dropped him off at 287 Lower Meigs Road, which is Midway Free Will Baptist church," said Colquitt County Sheriff's Investigator Michael Cox.
That was the last friends and family had heard from him.
