WARNER ROBINS, GA (WALB) - The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins is getting ready for its 27th annual 'Young Astronauts Program.'
It's a fun filled day of workshops all geared toward science, technology, engineering and math.
Kids will get do to things like create 'tornado tubes' and learn about ham radios.
Organizers said that it's a great way to get kids interested in the subjects at an early age.
"Lot of emphasis now on STEM education. This broadens the experience by exposing them to a number of workshops that we don't do on a everyday basis. The programs concentrate, but this gives them a chance to have a selected track," said Development Director Marilyn Ashmore.
The deadline for groups to register is April the 8th.
The event will be on May 7th and will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
