ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany police say a woman shot a man at least 11 times with a pellet gun, sending him to the hospital.

31 year old Ashly Clark was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.

About 3:15 Sunday morning at this home in the 400 block of South Davis Street... Clark accused Dextra Carter of stealing cigarettes from her car.
Police say she pulled a pellet gun and shot Carter in the back, left arm, and side.

Carter was transported by ambulance to the Emergency room, where nurses extracted a pellet from his back.
