Albany apartment fire remains under investigation

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany firefighters are working to find out the cause of a Friday night apartment fire.

The fire started in the front bedroom of Apartment D at the Albany Homes Complex on East Road.
No one was in the apartment at the time. Officials are not yet sure if anyone was currently living there.
It took firefighters about 8 to 10 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
They say the fire caused $2500 worth of damage.
