ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An annual Spring Carnival is open in Albany.
Carnival Time set up 16 rides in the Albany Plaza parking lot on North Slappey Boulevard this week.
They also have some favorite carnival food.
For the last 8-years, they set up near the Albany Mall but they had to find a new location this year.
"Where we set at the mall they sold the property, so there wasn't any place for us to set so we had to go and start and look and try to find some place," said Sue Reed, Manager. "We were able to find this property here which is at Albany Plaza."
One of the rides has a Confederate flag on top.
WALB has received calls from some who are a little upset about the flag, but carnival managers said that the flag was part of the ride when they purchased it and no one has ever complained to them.
The carnival travels to multiple states, mainly in the southeast.
It will be open through next Sunday.
The carnival opens at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
