Douglas Police looking for information after assault and robbery

DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

Douglas police are looking for information after a man was beaten and then robbed at his home.

According to officials, police met with the victim around midnight Tuesday morning at Buster's Billiards after he was attacked at his residence in the 400 block of Elk Street.

The victim told officers that two black males forced their way into his home and began punching him.

Then they stole several items and left the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to Coffee Regional Medical Center for treatment.
