ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany fraternity brought religious communities together with a parade of righteousness Saturday. The local chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity hosted the event.
The event began with a parade through downtown Albany with 16 floats that represented various churches and denominations.
Kids and parents also participated in Easter egg hunts at Turtle Grove Park.
Organizers say the event promoted solidarity.
"This community has a lot of different issues that it is facing, but if the faith-based community can come together than our city can come together," said parade coordinator Apostle Felix Rebills.
Organizers say they anticipate the event's participation to increase every year.
