Police and GSP search for suspect in armed robbery

COFFEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Coffee Co. Sheriff's officials received a call at about 6:30 a.m. Saturday in response to a robbery at Sunrise Express.

According to officials, an unidentified black male came into the store with an object that looked like a gun to the clerk.

The suspect approached the counter while pointing the object, and then took about $500 from the clerk. He then fled the scene and ran across Highway 32 in front of the store.

The suspect was last seen wearing all black clothes, black gloves, and a blue bandanna.

More information will become available, as police are still investigating the scene.
