ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A Dawson youth program celebrated donations from the community.

Positive Direction Youth Center received $4,000 worth of tennis shoes from "Good Sports."

They also got soil and plants for their community garden from Lawn Barber Nursery, Christie's Feed and Seed and Garden, and Lowe's.

The center plans to start planting a half-acre garden behind the facility next week.

"The community can come and help us plant and then they will be able to just come get different plants, vegetables, and fruit that we are going to have back there as they want it," said youth director Dorothy Tomlin.

Students also designed their Easter bags and eggs Friday afternoon.
