ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Gospel music artist Sh'Aunta Moore recorded a live performance at Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Moultrie Friday night.

Moore performed her newest single "Make Me Ready" from her upcoming album "Favored."

Moore hopes her music will encourage people to work to prevent violence in her hometown.

"We've had a lot of negative here lately, a lot of negative. If I can give a burst of positive to let Moultrie know we don't have to turn to the streets, turn to the drugs, turn to the gangs. There's a lot of  hidden creativity in our people here and no outlet," said gospel singer Sh'Aunta Moore.

Moore's Album "Favored" will be released this summer.
