ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A South Albany man was pistol whipped during a violent armed robbery in an apartment complex late Thursday night.

Police say Daniel Abney and Justin Yost were sitting in a car near the apartments in the 2200 block of South Madison street about 10:45, when three men pulled a gun on them.

Yost was struck in the face with the gun.

The armed robbers took the men's money, and Yost's car.

The vehicle was found by police later in the 100 block of Shelby Lane.

Police say they have made no arrests.
