ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police are closely watching the terror attacks around the world, but urge South Georgians not to let fear alter their lives.
Albany Police Chief Michael Persley recommend South Georgians stay alert for any suspicious activity, and report it to police.
They say Albany law enforcement is keeping close watch on terror intelligence from Europe and the United States.
"We're not taking it lightly. We are doing what we can to be prepared for this situation. But I pray that that's something we never have to experience," said Persley.
He said South Georgians should call their local law enforcement if they see any suspicious activity that they believe could be tied to terrorism, and let them investigate.
