ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany City employees, businesses, and neighbors worked together Tuesday to beautify Tift Park.

Recreation Department employees painted the fence around the park in front of their headquarters.

The Albany Lowe's store and Sherwin Williams donated about $275 worth of paint and supplies.

It's not the first time Lowe's has helped spruce up the park, and improve it.

Friends of Tift Park Chairman Stephen Brimberry said "A lot better.  Last year we had Lowe's come out here doing our gazebo. They spent probably over $2000 replacing boards and the painting on that."

Friends of Tift Park hosts a community market on Saturday's, as part of their revitalization efforts.
