ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Following the terror attacks in Brussels, Belgium, Southwest Georgia Regional Airport put extra security patrols in place, but there were no other major changes.
Airport officials said passengers should always be on the lookout for anything suspicious and report any odd baggage they may see, because even at small airports attacks can happen.
"One of the things that we get here is Albany has such a small terminal. People think that nothing will ever happen here but a catastrophic event can happen at a small airport and have the same effect."
No flights in Albany were delayed as a result of the attacks.
