Albany police search for two suspects in hotel robbery

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police are on the lookout for two suspects in an early morning robbery.

Officers say around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, two black males robbed the Red Roof Inn on Dawson Road.

No one was hurt during the robbery, but the two suspects did get away with cash.

Police are searching for the two males.

They say one was wearing camouflage and the other was wearing all black at the time of the robbery.

If you know anything about the hotel robbery, you are asked to call crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.

    A mother and son escaped from a house in Northwest Albany after it went up in flames Tuesday afternoon.  Crews from Albany Fire Department and Dougherty County EMS helped put out the fire in the 1200 Block of 10th Avenue, just off North Slappey Boulevard.
