ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Police say a man tried to pull a knife on two Albany Police officers while they tried to help him.
The officers were arresting the man's mother for hitting him Friday night.
Willie Anderson Jr. is charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer.
His mother, Linda Hunter Jones, is charged with simple battery.
Police arrested Jones for punching her son at her home in the 800 block of Rosedale Avenue.
They say Anderson came at them with a knife, trying to keep them from putting his mother in the patrol car.
Officers drew their guns and tried to subdue Anderson with a Taser, but he ran away.
Officers later found him hiding under a car and arrested him.
Neither officer was hurt.
