2008 Armed robbery trial starts

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Nearly eight years after the violent armed robbery of a Northwest Albany store, the suspect is going on trial.

Jury selection began today in the armed robbery trial of Hinson Cook, who's accused of working with an employee at the store.

Prosecutors say Cook used a sawed off shotgun to rob the Shoe Station on Dawson Road March 24th, 2008.

They say security guard Freddie Green was in on the robbery and has agreed to testify against Cook.

The trial is expected to last three days.
