MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Good weather led to a good turnout at this weekend's Calico Arts and Crafts Spring Show in Moultrie. Festival goers were able to enjoy over 200 vendors at Spence Field.
Organizers say the crafts show was a good economic boost for the city.
The festival brings people from the surrounding area, spending the entire day at what organizers call a shopping extravaganza.
"Our shoppers this past weekend have been picking up great Easter gifts, Mother's Day, Father's Day gifts. Graduation being right around the corner. Of course, a lot of people have been getting ready to reopen their beach or lake houses, so there's a lot of new decor," said show coordinator Gina McDonald.
Festival goers also got to enjoy live entertainment and food - everything from funnel cakes to barbecue.
