ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The 2nd annual best in the south senior showcase hosted around 35 area kids looking to play at the next level.
Several scouts from around the region got a closer look at athletes who have completed their high school careers.
Former Albany State head coach Chris Cameron hosted this as another effort to shed light on the south Georgia athletes who he feels don't get enough exposure.
"Any kid who is worthy of playing," said Cameron."Or has a great opportunity of playing on the college level, we want to invite them out because It's all about trying to provide an opportunity for a kid to be exposed."
Cameron said 8 of the kids who attended the camp last year went on to play ball at the next level.
