ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Young men who are on the right track were honored Friday night.
The Albany Jack and Jill of America held their biannual Beautillion at Albany State University.
They presented 12 high school juniors and seniors who completed community service projects over the last year and raised money for the night's scholarship gala.
"As we look at sustaining our society and our community it's important to develop male leaders and so it's really important for us to establish programs we can use to enrich them. We have young men, elders and mentors that are working with them to help them through this process," said Beautillion Co-Chair Mona McCoy.
Collectively, the 12 young men donated more than 600 hours of community service.
