ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The headmaster of Albany's largest private school will step down at the end of the next school year.
Deerfield-Windsor Headmaster Dave Davies has been there for seven years, overseeing improvements in school facilities and finances.
He says the school is in a "strong position."
"Our students are doing really well," said Davies. "The college admission scholarship process, and they are doing well when they get there. And so it's just been a good chapter, but it's time for the next chapter."
Davies says he will help with the search for his successor.
He says he has no firm plans but will remain in education.
