ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
The headmaster of Deerfield-Windsor has announced he will be leaving his position at the end of the next school year.
According to Ron Mitchell, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dave Davies informed the trustees on Thursday that he would be leaving his role at the end of the 2016 - 2017 school year.
"Dave has been an outstanding leader for the DWS community, bringing vision and dedication to his role as Head of School over the past seven years," said Mitchell. "Dave has also been a great friend and active member of the DWS and Albany communities. Dave has led a meaningful transition of DWS during his tenure, and we wish Dave and Gina all the best as they move on to the next chapter in their lives."
The Board of Trustees has begun looking for the next Headmaster of the school, and has requested the help of the Southern Teachers Agency to assist with their search.
