SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

A Sylvester father is looking for answers in the mysterious death of his son.

Larry James is offering a $4000 reward in the death of his 25-year-old son Jeremy. He says not knowing what happened to his son leaves him restless.

Larry James holds on to a framed picture of his son Jeremy as he tries to put together the missing pieces of what exactly happened to his son.

"It's been devastating, a lot of unanswered questions, rumors and speculation going forth,” said Larry James, Father.

James says his son was quiet and kept to himself.

"Hardworking, he loved to work, just trying to do his own thing, but he was kind of private,” said James. “He didn't mingle a whole lot, but he was a good person and good boy."

The 25-year-old's life was cut short in February when his body was found in a ditch near Peach Avenue in Sylvester. Family members had reported him missing days before.

"Due to the fact that his normal activity had been deeply interrupted,” said James. “He didn't return home as he normally would and we had a great concern."

Sylvester Police say so far no evidence has shown signs of foul play, but they're still waiting on preliminary autopsy results.

"The police has kept us informed with what they have,” said James. “They researched the leads that they have in all of this but yet there's still a lot of unanswered questions."

James is hoping the public will come forward with answers.

"Anyone knowing the information of value to have done this harm to our family and brought this tragedy on us,” said James.

Anyone with information surrounding the death of Jeremy James is asked to contact the family at 229-343-2410 and the Sylvester Police.
