ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A Dougherty County middle school teacher is waiting to hear disciplinary action from the school board.

Last week, a tribunal board recommended Southside Middle School 8th grade teacher Dr. Debra Johnson be fired.
She's accused of repeating a racial epithet while telling a story to students about a conversation she had outside of school.
School board members took no action Monday night.
They're reviewing documents and evidence from the hearing before making a decision.
