ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A man who ran a stop sign and caused a crash that sent three people to the hospital will not face criminal charges.

Dougherty County Police cited 45-year-old Eddie Moore for failure to stop at the stop sign at Nelms Road and Radium Springs Road.

Just after 6 p.m. Saturday, Alfonzo Wheeler of Baconton, driving a 2015 Chrysler, hit Moore in his 2013 Dodge when Moore did not stop.

Firefighters had to cut Wheeler and his passenger Raphael Booker from the car after it came to a stop when it hit a tree.

Wheeler was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Booker was cited for permitting an unlicensed person to drive and obstruction.
