AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

Americus Police are investigating two separate stabbings that happened on Sunday.

The two stabbings happened Sunday night after 9 p.m.

Joseph White, Jr. is wanted on aggravated assault charges in the first one that happened at a boarding home on South Jackson St.

Rodrick Johnson flagged down a police officer and told the officer that he had been stabbed by White.

Police are still looking for white and say incidents like this are concerning.

"Stabbings or shootings, those are very concerning to residents here in our neighborhood and we want to do all that we possibly can to ensure to our citizens that we are actively patrolling and trying to prevent these kinds of instances from occurring," said Interim Police Chief Herman Lamar.

The second incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. at Weeks Mobile Homes.  Police said the victim in the case has refused to cooperate, so they have not made any arrests in that case.
