DOOLY CO., GA (WALB) - Investigators named the suspect who was arrested for shooting a man over the weekend at a restaurant.
Dooly County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 38-year-old John Steven Avery at the scene.
According to a report, deputies responded to a call of a shooting at Campers Haven Bar and Grill.
Once on scene, officials found 33-year-old Thomas Clements had been shot in the buttocks and leg.
Witnesses told authorities the incident began inside the restaurant with a fight and ended with the shooting in the parking lot, after both of them were thrown out.
Avery was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Clements was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and later released.
