ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Folks placed their bids Saturday night to benefit a sports league for kids with special needs.
The Lee county Challenger League partnered up with Chehaw Park for a silent auction.
Auction items included a grill, coolers, and other cooking packages.
All of the money raised will go towards providing funds for trips and other items the team may need throughout the season.
"To see the community's support of this organization and the way it has to just help these kids has been overwhelming," said Challenger League President John DuMond.
Some of the members of the league were there at the auction to witness the community's support.
