CAMILLA, GA (WALB) -

An ex-con from Camilla says he just wants a chance to contribute to society.

Robert Mancil spent 11 years in prison after an arson conviction 16 years ago.
Since January, he says he's been turned down for six jobs because of his record.
Mancil says he's turned his life around and is just trying to support his family.

“I'm trying to survive for my family,” said Robert Mancil, Ex-Con. “Give me a job so I can support my family and not go back to a criminal life style. Everybody keeps saying why are they going back,  because they can't get a job. They aren't getting equal opportunity."

Mancil says he isn't giving up on the job hunt and he hopes to find someone to give him an opportunity.
