ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The mother of a toddler who was found dead and three other children who went missing Wednesday has been arrested and the three children have been found safe.

Police said Clarion Garrison surrendered to officers around 9 p.m. Wednesday in Ocala FL, after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert.

Marion County, Florida Sheriff's deputies responded to a "be on the lookout" for the vehicle Garrison was last seen traveling in, and followed leads to a relative's home where they found the children. But Garrison was not at the home.

While deputies were interviewing family members at the scene, Garrison walked up to the home and turned herself in.

She was arrested and taken to the Marion County, FL Jail on a warrant from Albany.

The Department of Children and Families later took custody of her three children, Amyelle, Jaleel, and Kamella Garrison.

They were last seen at Rivercrest Apartments in East Albany, where investigators said a 2-year-old sibling was found dead Wednesday.

Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards said the 2-year-old, girl, who was not named, had been dead for at least two days before her body was found hidden inside the family's home.

Edwards said there was no obvious cause of death, and an autopsy would be conducted as soon as possible.

He also expected at least one charge of concealing a death to be filed, and that Garrison is considered a person of interest in the case.
