LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Lee County Sheriff's Office issued a scam alert for residents.

They're looking for a couple they said conned people in the parking lot of Walmart on Ledo Road Friday afternoon.

Surveillance cameras caught them walking out of the store.

Investigators said that the two posed as magazine subscription salesmen and scammed at least one shopper out of cash.

"The victim was adamant that he didn't want to purchase any materials from them. However they persisted, they tried to get him to withdraw money from the ATM, he didn't do that. He did have cash money on him and so they talked him out of the cash," said Investigator Brian Johnson with the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone who recognizes the couple is urged to contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
