ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Firefighters are asking for the community's help finding a 10 to 12-year-old that set a South Albany building on fire.
Investigators say Sunday afternoon the young male put a towel in the side window and set it on fire. Neighbors saw him and called the fire department.
"The lady that lives across the street saw a young male that had come over here and set the fire," said Albany Fire Department Investigator Sam Harris. "She yelled at him. He appeared to be 10 to 12 years old."
Investigators say two men heard the neighbor, and got a bucket of water and put the fire out before it could spread too far inside. The damage to the building was estimated at $1,000.
