MACON, GA (WALB) -
The Crisp Academy girls fell to Monsignor Donovan 45-34 in the GISA AA State championship.
Turnovers troubled the Lady Wildcats out in Macon. They failed to capture their 5th state title in six years.
"We made some turnovers right there at the end instead of taking care of the ball," said Crisp academy coach Gina Mitchell. "We tried to dribble it to get control of it and we'd lose it so it came down to really one possession where we lost control of it and it just kind of snowballed from there."
The Lady Cats finish the season 27-4 and state runners up.
