BACONTON, GA (WALB) -

A Baconton church provided clothes to those in need. St. James Missionary Baptist Church held a clothing giveaway Saturday.

Brand new men's dress shirts, ties, shoes, and kids clothes were donated from local businesses.

Pastor Lawrence Knighton says the church does a clothing giveaway three times a year.

"We had probably six or seven hundred brand new shirts and we have brand new babies clothes, we had boxes of pampers, toys, books have been out here and we're just grateful to God that we can continue to be a blessing to the community," said Knighton.

On March 19, the church will have a free community barbecue at the baseball field at noon.
