THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A group in Thomasville is offering a fun way to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. They're hosting a bar crawl next Saturday.

The duo, Tara Okon and Chandler Giddes, will also take part in the Dancing with the Stars fundraiser.

Bar crawlers are urged to wear purple for the cause.

"We've kind of built some fund raising. And to do something a little less formal and more fun, we teamed together with a couple locals from Thomasville and we've had five bars sign up and request  up and request to be a part of it," said Giddes.

There's also a side competition, pitting Auburn fans against Georgia fans, to see who can fill their team's jar first.

The bar crawl will start at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 at Bacchus in Thomasville.

Tickets are $22 and can be purchased by visiting Eventbrite.com, and searching “Downtown Thomasville Bar Crawl.”
