Over 30 plants seized in Lake Park pot bust

(Lowndes Co. Sheriff) (Lowndes Co. Sheriff)
LAKE PARK, GA (WALB) -

Lowndes deputies went to serve a warrant last night. They didn't find the person they were looking for, but still took someone to jail, and seized 34 marijuana plants.

About 9:30, deputies went to the 5200 block of David Drive, where the person was supposed to be. They searched the house, and found the pot plants growing inside closets.

Kortni Lawlor, 32,  was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail, and will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court for an arraignment hearing Thursday afternoon, where a bond will be considered on charges of Manufacturing marijuana, and Possession of tools for the commission of a crime

Sheriff Chris Prine said, "Even though an arrest has been made, this investigation is not closed and there may be additional charges and arrest. This was a great job by the deputies to conduct their investigation that led to this discovery."
