CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - Visitors got a behind the scenes look at how a south Georgia ethanol plant runs.
Flint Hill Resources hosted an open house Wednesday, offering tours inside and around the facility.
The owners bought the Camilla plant in January of last year.
It produces 120 million gallons of ethanol each year.
Plant Manager Andy Culpepper said the event highlights how the plant works with south Georgia farmers to keep money local.
"This plant is a vital asset for local farmers and for corn producing," said Culpepper. "We buy about 288 million bushels of corn a year, through this facility."
The plant employs about 70 people.
