Police confirmed the identity of a body found in a ditch Monday in Sylvester.
Officials identified the person as 25-year-old Jeremy Rashaad James.
They said James had been missing since Feb. 26 around 1 p.m.
Police had received reports that James was last seen at a store on Franklin and Monroe on Feb. 27 around 8 or 9 p.m.
"During that investigation, there was no sign of foul play or any evidence to indicate that the victim had been victimized in any way," said Lt. Kenneth Washington.
James' body was sent to the GBI crime lab in Macon for an autopsy.
